High Profile Retail Space Available at Portland’s Burnside Bridgehead
The Burnside Bridgehead Project is a Portland Development Commission sponsored redevelopment of five city blocks at the foot of the Burnside Bridge, along with a public plaza and corresponding infrastructure improvements. Work began in 2013 with The Eastside Exchange, a 97,000 square foot office and creative building, as well as a public plaza and staircase connecting NE 2nd Avenue to NE 3rd Avenue just north of the Burnside Bridge. Development of YARD and sideYARD is currently underway.
YARD is a 284-unit apartment tower located on the full block bound by NE 2nd Avenue & NE 3rd Avenue and NE Couch St & the Burnside Bridge. The building will feature retail space facing NE 2nd Avenue, NE 3rd Avenue, as well as additional office/retail space on upper levels.
A hot-springs-inspired spa and fitness center, flanked by a landscaped deck and view of the Willamette River, will cap off the north end of the podium level retail space at YARD.
Facing YARD across NE 3rd Avenue, sideYARD is a uniquely-shaped, 21,270 square foot, four-story building located on the half block bound by NE 3rd Avenue and the Couch Street connector to the Burnside Bridge and NE Couch Street and the Burnside Bridge. A sky bridge will connect the upper floors of YARD and sideYARD.
The opening date for YARD and sideYARD is July 2016.
